The Guild
Semper Dius stands for "Ever Divine". We are a guild based on the freedom of ideas. Ideas that involve you in the guild process; you are not forced to follow a reckless action without saying that it's wrong to do so. You will have your voice heard in every guild decision. For this we require you to have good English communication skills and common sense.
How do we work?
These are the guidelines that apply to all the members who are going to play Mmo games in our community. These rules must handled with respect and followed as much possible.
Forum communication
Forum & Game Activity
You're responsible for your own activity - Try to visit the forums as much possible. If you do not do this, you will be put on inactive after 10 days of inactivity. If you need to be away from the guild for any reason, please make a post in the Absences thread. We know Real Life(TM) rears its ugly head more than we would like.
Our forum is the main source of communication,this is why we require you to check the forum regularly and participate in polls.
Ventrilo will be mandatory, from the moment you log in, you also log in ventrilo. Speaking with a mic is a much more open way of communicating. Even when you cant talk, you can still listen. If your Mic is broken, buy a new one. This rule must be followed at all costs also during raiding and pvping.
Forum & Ingame Events
Several forums events will be organized in the future. It’s for entertainment and also to promote communication in the guild. If you are not interested to participate in these events, that’s not a problem. We must respect everybody’s interest in the guild.
Respect, and dealing with Issues
Issues will arise in the guild from time to time. That's just life. Please respect one another and deal with things in a mature fashion. If something does bother you. Just contact the Gm about it or any of the officers.
The Guild's guideline is: One for all and all for one. We make decisions together, We help each other where we can. If things get ugly the Gm or any of the officers will step in to deal with the situation. All disputes will be investigated, and the Gm will always be notified about it before any sanctions are stated.

These are simple rules, with simple outcomes - you signed up to the Guild knowing it is semi-hardcore and we expect that kind of dedication.
Class swapping
We expect that you will have invested enough in your character to want to stick with it. However should you want/need a change then the GM and Officers will do what they can to accommodate your change where possible. But we expect that you make your classchoice in advance. There will be enough chances to test out your class in the future. You must really have a good reason why you want to change or it will not be allowed.
What is required from you
Semper Dius offers you a lot as a Community. For that you must also be active and try to attend most guild events. This doesn't mean you have to have no life day in day out to maintain your position in the guild! Also you must be able to take criticism. Criticism is never negative, it's constructive advice which enables you and the Guild to become even better. Being mature and using common sense is very important.

The Guildmaster
The Guild master will be the leading chieftain of the guild and it’s always important that he is there for his Guild members. He must always act with responsibility and common sense, so every decision that is made, suits the will of everybody as much as possible. He will motivate, coordinate his members to always give the best of themselves in game. As stated we are a Semi-hardcore guild, your leader has a life as well, and there will be times that he might be less active. But in cooperation with his officers, the Guildmaster will make sure that the required leadership is always there. In general the GM is expected to hold the highest standards, work with all members, officers in order to assure that the guild mission statement is being met, and that guild rules are being followed and upheld.
I will base the management of the guild on a monarchy with Democratized influences. The members will always have a saying, they are also free to make suggestions for changes etc. The Guild master and the officers will monitor everything and see what they can use in cooperation with the members. The Guild master will have two officers under his command who will have a leading position as well in the Guild.

Both officers also need to counteract with each other, The Gm and the officers control the management of the guild. There must always be a good communication between them. A dispute among us must be resolved quickly and respectfully.
Field Marshal responsibility’s
You will be the man that will lead our forces in combat. I want you to be wise and cunning. You must able to deal with loses. You make strategies, look for gaps in our enemies defences and you lead your forces to victory. Communication and motivation is your trait and it will be extremely vital, towards to members who will all participate in these events.
Vent meetings
The Guild master will take care for several meetings during a certain period of time. These meetings are held to evaluate all the performances of the officers and the Fieldmarshals. All the officers and Field marshals will be notified trough the Pm mailing system. I expect you can always make time for such a meeting. The Guild master will make sure, that the time schedule for these meetings correspond with the officers and Field marshals time schedules.

- Treat your fellow members with respect. If a dispute ever arises contact the Site admins or any of the officers about it and we will solve the problem for you.
- Avoid double posting about the same subject. It's not a crime, it's just anoying.
- Important forums and topics (guild discussions/Classlists/Guild development ) need to be kept clean. Think twice before posting in those boards. Posts not related to the topic will be removed instantly.
- Try to participate in most polls, Every opinion must be heard, we are an open minded guild. Dictatorship will not be tolerated.
- This is a mature and respectful guild. Most of our players are 18+ so this means that at times people may be talking/typing about adult content. Try to keep it clean and not too dirty. If this can’t be done, The Gm and officers will remove your posts immediately.

- You are given a first warning, without any consequences
- Second warning, your guildacces will be stripped for one week.
- Third warning, you will be removed from the guild.

- Your new class should be fairly established as an alt before you choose to switch - we need to make sure this class really is what you want to play as your main!
- Your main character and your first alt character will both be in the guild.The Gm will send an invite to the guildmember, so that this first alt character can be part of the guild as well. The guild member can ofcourse decide, which alt character he wants to have in the guild.
- Only one alt character is allowed in the main guild, plus you need to put a note next your alt name, so we know who you are and what your main’s character name is. If you don’t do this your alt will be removed accordingly. Why this change? Because we want to able to contact you on all times, if we are going to do a pvp event with the guild or when something important is about to happen. It’s also promotes better and faster communication and better teamplay.
What is required from you
Semper Dius offers you a lot as a Community. For that you must also be active and try to attend most guild events. - Your PC / Laptop should meet the minimum specifications - Ideally they should be well over these to enhance your enjoyment and reduce any lag effects (network or system related).
- You will need a Headset/Microphone as voice communications feature heavily in our day to day game life.I suggest you download ventrilo 3.0.1, since we use that version for our vent and vent is mandatory for all our members.

Officer Duties
- Officers have nearly the full authority of the Guild Master. As such, they will need to show they are up to dealing with all sorts of issues and keeping up to date with the currents in the guild.
- Officers are also expected to criticize the GM 's ruling when they feel that the GM is not doing his job right, this is needed to set a reasonable expectation for improvement. Feedback is a must, because anarchism is leads to rebellion and disputes in a guild.
- Officers will have full access to site and monitor everything that happens on the forums, But the Gm must always be informed if they take action on a certain matter that can occur.
- You act as a normal person to your Members. You might have a leading position, but use with responsibility and common sense.
Officer Special Duties
- First Officer: This person will monitor the forums accordingly and remove any posts that violate the rules of conduct. It has been stated that derailing double pots, making unnecessary jokes will be instantly removed. This officer will uphold that rule tightly. He will be The GM’s the eyes and ears on the forums. The first officer will also have power to make changes to the site, and alter posts if necessary. You are full fledged forum moderator who can slam a hammer hard if it’s needed.
- Second Officer: He will act as an advisor to the Guild master and the Guild members. He will coordinate and follow up the GM’s ruling. He will also so be the helping hand for People ingame and on the Forums . This officer will also have full access to site, if changes need to be made. The strong aspect of this function is motivation and feedback.

- All events will be posted on the forums by the Gm and the officers before they are executed in game. Field marshals will have the responsibility to organize and monitor the pvp events in game.
- You report any disputes immediately to the officers or the Gm. If you see that Guild members are slacking in forum activity and pvp event attendance. You act accordingly following the rules of conduct . But I must remind you, don’t go overboard in your decision-making. Because the officers will be watching you.
- If you want to organize events yourselves, you will be allowed to do that. But you must inform one of the officers or the Gm, so they can assist you or coordinate it where necessary.
- You will be the leader of our fighting force, And our members will look for an example to follow. It’s advised to know different strategies to deal with your enemies. You must also communicate with your other field marshals and coordinate each other's groups, so everything is balanced.
- You will have access to the site accordingly to the position you have witin the guild. Use your power wisely and with responsibility.
